Compounding pharmacy
Custom preparations made to prescription. Bring the prescription and we'll confirm timing.
Some prescriptions cannot be filled from a box: a cream at a particular concentration, a paediatric dose that is not manufactured, a formula without an excipient someone is allergic to. That is compounding, and it is made to measure and to prescription. Bring us the prescription and the same day we will tell you two things: whether we can prepare it ourselves and when it will be ready. Most dermatological formulas are ready in twenty-four to forty-eight hours; those needing an active ingredient we have to order take a little longer. What we will never do is give you a date we cannot keep. Every preparation is labelled with its composition, the date it was made, its expiry date and how to store it. If it needs to go in the fridge, the label says so. Always to prescription. No formula is prepared without one, and that is not a house rule: it is the law.
